Do you need to write the English 12 Provincial Exam?

Posted by Devon Stokes-Bennett on November 29, 2013 in Uncategorized |

Please read below and determine whether you need to write the provincial exam. If you have ANY doubts, please email Bonnie Benning at bbenning@sd62.bc.ca and ask by Dec 9th, 2013 as we will need to register you so you can write the exam.

  1.  Students that must write:  anyone that is under 18 at the time of the exam and not graduated (2004 and Adult program)
  2. Students that don’t have to write:  anyone that is graduated (even if they are under 18) AND anyone that is 18 or over and in the Adult Grad program
  3. Students that might decide to write even though they don’t have to:  These are students that are preparing for a program that requires a compulsory provincial exam mark (there won’t be many, but it does happen).  This is where the student is responsible for making a phone call to the college or university they want to attend to ensure that they have accurate entrance information. This usually only happens for universities and especially universities out of province.  Camosun college does not require provincial exam marks for any adult student in any of their programs including Business and Nursing.
